I got a new camera for my birthday! I'm really passionate about photography, especially the old photography. I absolutely love the Polaroid style. To me, it's so pretty and aesthetic. I also like the idea that there's no going back after you've taken the photo, and that you get what you get, no second chances. Anyway, my aunt gave this to me. She had bought this camera over twenty years ago to take pictures of my cousin when she was born. I'm so excited to take some vintage style photographs with this bad boy!!!

I have two songs this week! The first one is Bambi by Hippo Campus. Hippo Campus is my latest indie music fix, ever since I heard Way it Goes by them a few months ago, I was HOOKED. Since then, I've listened to ALL of their songs and I'm looking forward to future albums. The next song is from one of my top five musicians: Sufjan Stevens. His music is literally one of the most beautiful things this planet has to offer, and his songs always influence me and a lot of my art. Anyway, Mystery of Love is the song I picked. It's not only one of my favorites from him, but it's a song in one of my favorite movies: Call Me By Your Name. It's such a great movie/book and I would recommend it to literally everyone (I've included a video of the song that also has some scenes from the movie). Enjoy! I took this picture yesterday at the photo shoot by accident but isn't she beautiful? Thanks for blessing us with your presence you actual goddess. (Every time I see this picture I hear Only Angel by Harry Styles in my head).
Thanks to Ross Funk, Tabitha Partlow, Iris McCoy, and Lukas Collins for modeling in my concentration photo shoot! The day started off extremely stressful, I wasn't sure if anyone was going to come and I was so worried that I wouldn't make the deadline for the photos. You guys are one of the biggest reasons why I love taking photos. Thank you so much for supporting me and praising my work, even when I don't believe in myself. I can't wait to show you guys the results from the photo shoot!
PHOTO CREDIT: IRIS MCCOY I'm just going to be honest with you, I've completely forgotten to post on here these last couple weeks. I've been ridiculously busy with work, school and photography (I need that sentence on a t-shirt). Anyway, this Sunday I'm taking my concentration photos! I'm super excited to take them and share them with you guys! Anyway, here's one of my favorite songs. You guys should totally check out Conan Gray's first EP 'Sunset Season'. I fell in love with his voice from the moment I heard Idle Town, it's so cool that he has an EP out now! Anyway, I've had this song on repeat while editing photos this week. Enjoy! Every two weeks in class, we have to turn in a photo for our AP concentration. Here is my triptych (a series of three photos that go together) for this past week to go with my theme "Death and Rebirth"
I always find myself listening to a song that inspires me while editing and taking my photos. So each week I'll post a song that has inspired me in the photo taking and editing process. This week's song is Fever to the Form by Nick Mulvey. Many of Nick Mulvey's songs resonate deep in my mind, but this one in particular sends shivers through me. I hope you guys enjoy it! |
